Dr Gill's Retirement July 2023

Dr Gill will be retiring on July 1 2023 after 32 years of work as an OBGYN, the last 20 years of which were spent working at the Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake. The clinic would like to thank Dr Gill for his many years of hard work and dedication to patient care.

Ongoing care will be transitioned to Dr Adam.

Recruitment for additional ObGyns

Williams Lake Obstetrics & Gynecology is located on t

the fourth floor of the Cariboo Memorial Hospital.

Follow the signs to the end of the first hallway on the fourth floor.

We wish to acknowledge traditional unceded First Nations territory, where our office is based

and home to many patients we serve: Secwepemc, Tsilhqot’in and Dakelh Dene.

Hours:

General office hours are 9 am-4 pm.

We are closed from 12-1 pm and on weekends and statutory holidays.

Please note that the reception desk is presently closed

on Thursdays and Fridays for staffing reasons.

We do not have email and we do not take voicemail messages.

For emergencies please go to your nearest emergency department.

At the Cariboo Memorial Hospital there is an oncall protocol for

obstetrical and gynecological emergencies.

Information for Doctors and Patients

Referral information For Doctors

To refer a patient please fax in a referral letter with your patient demographic information and relevant clinical information to our fax number.

We will confirm receipt of the referral and contact your patient directly to book the appointment.

General Information For Patients

Parking is free but can be limited at the hospital

so please allow some extra time.

Generally no special preparation is required for your appointments.

If your appointment is for something specific like an IUD insertion or pessary fitting you will be given instructions by our receptionist.

Emergencies and health-related issues aside,

please provide at least 24 hours notice

for any appointment cancellations.

If you would like a chaperone present for your appointment

please notify us at the time of booking.

Please call us with any questions that you may have.

Colposcopy CLinic Information

Dr Adam is a provincially certified colposcopist.

We accept colposcopy referrals via the usual referral process

and do not require a specific colposcopy referral form.

The Williams Lake Colposcopy Clinic is held in the

the Ambulatory Care Unit at the Cariboo Memorial Hospital.
